I was born in Paris and have made my home in London for twenty years, splitting my time with Ibiza, where my family lives.

When I was a teenager, my father gave me an old film camera, and I have never let go of it since. I still use the same one, a Canon T90 that I adore, shooting mostly in black and white. I love the grain and the imperfections; I think that is the beauty of analogue.

I photograph landscapes and women. I like dark, sensual settings, where light and shadow carry the feeling of the picture. The women I photograph are not just subjects; they are the heroines of their own stories, strong, free and elegant. I like to create the mood of a film, a story that was never told, something the viewer can imagine.

Sometimes I paint words directly onto my prints, so each one becomes a unique piece.

I also make portraits in my London studio, or wherever suits you, for individuals, couples, friends or families who want to see themselves on their walls as art, not just as photos. I usually use a slow shutter speed to create movement in the image. The result is soft and textured, almost like a charcoal drawing.
